Idols always watch other idols perform in award shows. Always. They know they're being filmed and even if they weren't filmed the audience can still see them and a whole thing can start off against them if people start saying they were cocky enough to not pay attention to their senior groups. The only reason idols would not watch others perform is when something comes up and they have to solve it with staff or when it's getting close to their turn to perform so they start discussing something about their performance. Yes they're wathcing, but it's Super Junior. Who would dare ignore Super Junior completely? It doesn't mean that idols don't like each other, but they're all so tired from staying up since award season makes their schedules really busy and they've been rehearsing, doing interviews, and then just sitting in waiting rooms for hours upon hours. Idols spend so much time just sitting there waiting for their turn to come both in promotion on music shows and in award shows. The last thing they want to do is watch every single other idol's work, unless they like that specific song or are friends with someone. They need to relax and rest, but have to pay attention and watch otherwise k-netizens will eat them alive. Idols were attacked and bullied online simply for having "weird looks" towards others on camera like it happened with momoland. Ignoring a senior group that debut 15 years ago would be a grave mistake.
