The disrespectful blocks, the in-your-face dunks, the crazy finishes in traffic. Plays like that happen far less frequently with the court constantly spread for 3-point shooting. This makes ESPN (and current Inside The NBA on TNT) seem like utter trash in comparison. Those of us who actually were watching this back then have plenty of good reasons to feel totally disilussioned with the modern league and the narratives/coverage etc.. They used to actually analyze offenses, defenses and detail rosters + gave unapologetic opinions (after having actually done research, not just from casually watching games and filling the air with overly used basketball cliches) more substantively.. And the final bonus, it was actually much more funny! The jokes and comedic insinuations were much more clever and intelligent... They have since dumbed it down for the bottom feeders (the majority of current NBA fans, their ages falling between 6-22.

He averaged 23 and 20 on one leg at age 38-40. This was in the slowest paced era of all time. He would’ve been deadly if this was his prime. Plus he dealt with zones his whole career. People act like illegal defenses were called every possession.
