This is the second leg but yes, Souness interviewed immediately after the first leg made that comment despite losing 1-0 and creating nothing. An even more ridiculous remark when you think they lost 3-0 over 180 minutes. The comment that didn't age well from the second leg was Eamonn Dunphy on Irish TV saying "I think Blackburn will hammer them 5-0". This was the first match where O'Neill played Sutton in that role just off the front two and it totally threw Souness.
