This race is a testament to the quality of the Fox broadcast during this period. This is perhaps the most boring circumstance you could possibly come up with for a race, yet the entire time the race is engaging, and the analysis is compelling even though the race boils down to just a few cars running time trial laps.

FOX couldn't do that now if their lives depended on it.

Only 3 cars finished on the lead lap, 2 in contention, one half a lap down, and two cars battling for 4th one lap down LOL. And Kenny Wallace blows an engine but still finishes in the top 10. When was the last time you saw that?

And the 3rd place was meant to be a start-and-park entry after Fedewa wrecked the primary car during practice(?) and the team only had the one backup.

@@TheShockninja I believe 1996 Indy 500. Only like 8 cars finished. Oh and a 5 car wreck off turn 4 last lap. If that wreck doesn’t happen, 13 cars finish. Lynn st James finished top 10 that race.. laps down.

1995 formula 1 season. 1 race had 5 cars finish. 6th place on back dnf. Another had 5 finished, but 4th place was dnf. 2 other races had 6 cars finish.. I recall I believe 2002? Australia or Austrian Grand Prix- the 1st race of the season, a huge wreck took out many cars and then a few other cars dropped out and only 8 finished. The race mark Webber scored points in minardi and everyone thought he was a gift from god…

That brings me the question... Did Larry Gunselman (who at the time the crash happened, was like 4 laps down) finish ?

1:16:13 Stacey Compton was going fast enough to blow the sticker off the car and he did.

Never knew Jason Keller was that young back in those days. I always thought he was much older but he was only in his early 30's in the early 2000's.

Now days thered be a "debris" caution to bunch them back up or the stage cautions would come into play
@MacNur-tu3cq22 күн бұрын
Yup. Stages have put the final nail in the coffin. The strategy and endurance aspect of nascar dead. This car has ruined ingenuity and knowledge. Fluke winners and with the stupid playoffs,fluke champions

And not a single guy being interviewed after the race mentions how odd it was to only battle with one or two guys for 100 laps lol

29 Car Huge Big One!
@the_elmeister Жыл бұрын
No, actually 33 cars were involved in this Huge One. This is the biggest crash of the 21st century in all of NASCAR. Not even the Cup Series had this big of a wreck. The biggest wreck in the cup series of 21st century took out 27 cars at the 2003 Aaron’s 499

Sadly this will be andy Kirby's last race & last best finish of his career. He passed away in a traffic accident 3 months after the dega race .

I don't have anymore full races except for the 2009 Xfinity @ Memphis race. I'm currently trying to figure out a way to upload it in one or two parts instead of 21. I'm sorry.
