Thank God for Volponi, or we probably wouldn't have discovered the "Fix 6"...

Races are still fixed though. How often do you bet on horse at 3-1 only to see him magically go to 7-5 on the backstretch then win going away
@vansavant8222 жыл бұрын
@@DanielSong39 I see it as often as I see my 7/1 shot magically becomes 12/1 during the race. Until they close wagering at the moment the first horse loads, this perception, while totally concerning, will continue to exist.

@@DanielSong39 As often as I see a horse go from 3-1 to 7/5 on the backstretch and get beat. They take wagers up until the gates are about to open. The final odds are calculated mid-race. Always been that way and always will.

What you guys are saying is that people bare still betting during the race, "past posting" it happens on horses that have a big lead in the stretch. Big difference between that, and having the 1st 2 winners, and wheeling the last 4 races! He owned a Satellite wager facility in Montana or something, actually hacked into the main computer that printed the tickets, for a sure winner! But, unfortunately, or fortunately, some bombs came in! Which he still probably wouldn't have got caught if he was the lone winner( lots of one ticket holder pic 6's) but he got greedy, had like 8 $12 tickets! Who bets more than $2 on a large pic 6 ticket? So they found that suspicious ( one guy holds all the winners on $12 tickets) and he was found out! This was before pic 4's and pic5's robbed the pic 6 pool. The total payout was just under $6 million if I remember right..

What do you expect with race day medications, the worst racing in the world. European trainers are miles ahead, and so are the bettors, bookies, not parimutual betting for suckers

Durkin's call so confused me. I still don't know which horses were where at the top of the stretch.

While " chic Anderson and Dave Johnson " we're just great tremendous terrific thoroughbred race track announcers, I think 💬🤔 "Tom Durkin ", who like a great " song " that " takes " to the perfect singer 💘 , was the perfect guy to call the breeders 🍶🍵 cup races for NBC !

Dissapointing to see hawk wing totally empty in the stretch.

How Volponi beat MDO by 4 when MDO was 3 lengths better I'll never know. Guess that;s racing.

P. G. Johnson had volponi ready to run the race of a lifetime

He was 3 lengths better, as you say. Sometimes, certain horses just love certain tracks, sometimes horses are just ready to go on certain days, just like a basketball player that averages 20 can sometimes outscore one that averages 30 per game in an individual game.

I don't even know how they ran but I am an old Arlington player and local. In the routes, there is a short run into the first turn and you have to either go to the front or wait on the rail back in the pack. You cannot press or stalk from the outside in the first turn. My guess is Volponi was sitting rail. The only horse I ever saw wide in that turn pressing/stalking was Cigar.
