Spurs had two excellent strikers in Sherringham and Ferdinand but the rest of the team was very average! They had a very poor Spurs defence, which was often slow to react to danger, outmuscled in tackles and constantly beaten to the ball. Gardiner was tall but hopelessly clumsy and painfully slow!
