Thank god for this video. You are a lifesaver. Kept going out to a dead battery every time the wind would blow and set of the alarm. Btw, who would steal a 19 year old vehicle anyways? Lol

I agree! My battery kept going dead through a short in the module. And when you open the door the alarm would randomly go off as well. No longer have an alarm system but i don't have to keep swapping batteries or driving with my alarm going off

My 1998 Rodeo was stolen this summer. It was recovered several weeks later, but the security system is all jacked up. I'm going to disable the whole thing.

Without the control unit plugged in, the drivers side door lock won't work. For some reason, the circuitry in that module separates the link between the drivers door and the other passenger doors.

Hi. Question. If you remove the anti theft module altogether will the car still start? I have a 2002 trooper with a quirky anti theft system.

Essentially the same, will be different color wires obviously. Ecu's are generally receiving ground controlled inputs.

I have a 2000 trooper seems to be a similar issue the dealer blammed it on the after market fob but even using just the key the alarm goes off every time you open the driver door any one else have a recommendation ? Thanks again for the video might try this and see how it works

@@t0mall870 it did not unfortunately, literally totalled the trooper caused all kinds of electrical issues until it wasnt even drivable fastest 4G I ever spent Lol..

If u remove while the engine running u don't need to cut the wire bc the commercial will think it's still install and start always ...

doing this on the green/white wire on 2001 rodeo shorts out and blows engine 2 fuse under dash

No details on the actual work being done. Anyone that would just grab a wire they think you grabbed(bc you gave no description whatsoever) would be a fool. Keep the phone in your pocket and keep working. This was terrible
