To me this is one of our greatest football games. I remember this game, I was late for work watching the game and immediately after traffic was insane. But it was the best feeling ever! I love the cards, till my death. I love cardinal everything football basketball baseball soccer even golf! I don't care lol I'm glad our school isn't just a basketball school or just a football school like we really do it all and really good across the board in everything......cardinal nation for life! GOCARDS!!!!!!

I was a 12 year old kid when this game happened. I remember getting off the school bus and my dad asking me if I still wanted to go to the game even tho it would be pouring down rain all night. I remember saying heck yea and I turned out to be one of our greatest moments together. Ill never forget this day. TELL EM IT RAINED AND RAGONED!!

I was the man on the pumps keeping the water off the field. We ran the hell out of 4 pumps and just kept the water off the playing surface, I felt like Captain Ahab there was soooooo much water !

It was really raining, just coming down in sheets. I watched it at Flabby's and honestly most of us could hardly believe it. The Cards just had FSU's number that night. We've been up and down over the last decade but basically we've become relevant since. Great to be in the ACC and playing them on a Thursday night in 3 months. Go Cards!

Greatest athletic event I've ever attended. The rain cannot be understated. The drains that come from the seats down through the wall to the field were like fire hoses. Still have my ticket. We carried the field goal post down Floyd Street. Maybe not the biggest win, but definitely best game I've ever attended, bar none. (eh... maybe the last game in Freedom Hall, but the rain makes this the best)

We are baaaack! That 2004 team that played in the OB in 2004 that had the Canes down before the perfect storm,Devin Hester, saved the home team, was IMO actually our best ever team. Looking forward to being in the ACC with the Canes and Seminoles.

This game hurt. The 01' season was tough on most of us Noles who were accustomed to being the top dog but you kind of saw that season coming and we accepted it after the first humbling loss or two. In 02' we were loaded and we were supposed to be back to normal and this loss crushed those hopes. Glad to have Louisville in the ACC though. Certainly a program on the rise.

"Glad to have Louisville in the ACC though." It'll be fun and I can't wait to get through 2013. Going to big 12 would have sucked and WV got the shaft. Half their games will be about 1500 miles away. With ACC, there's teams Card fans are familiar with and have played at some point in the past (Virginia, Boston College, NC State, FSU, Miami, V-Tech and former Big East Pitt and Cuse). Basketball will be unbelievable!! Maybe we can crush a few more hopes ;)

Always found it kind of ironic that while this ranks as possibly Louisville's greatest football win ever, it was by what was probably their weakest team between 1998 and 2006. This 02 team only went 7-6, lost three home games and were bludgeoned in their bowl game. Hope they get their program turned back around soon.

FSU fans, check the facts. Bowden has been quoted as saying he would NEVER come back to Louisville. That why we said we scared the Noles. We will play anyone any time as long as its a home and home. I was at the game on the 50. Didn't sit the whole night. (couldn't, my chair was a puddle.) My shoes from that game are still on my porch waterlogged.

Really? Well all I remember is Dave Ragone having a hell of a game in a driving storm... while we were driving down the field to score. Maybe it doesn't but it is a tribute because that win made people scared of Louisville. To this day no one wants to come here and play.
