They arent miming, they probably are playing live but with some of the actual track playing in the background, but they have to do that a lot beacause a lot of their songs have more than 2 guitars playing-on their live tour they had a 3rd guitarist on the side of the stage playing.

When playing live, almost all bands have to either choose to have part of the song playing pre recorded, or play it simplified. Most of the time it's impossible to have it as complex as the official song.

yes i know they run around and jump and stuff, but have you ever been to any other poppunk/poprock/metal shows ever? that stuff can happen without headset microphones, AND they still play their instruments for real! it's just a matter of practise! BUT i'm not hating on busted for lip synching or anything, that's just the type of band they are, they used to focus more on the pop side of things than the rock side of things, plus no one sings live on TOTP, that's how that show works!

Well, the band only realeased their album with "Crash and Burn" on, so I doubt that was the reasoning for the name change. There was always clever marketing with Busted, eg different verions of CDS. So marketing reasoning may have come into this.

oh man, it's so terrible with headset microphones haha they look like ultimate tools (except for charlie for obvious reasons) you HAVE to use stand up mics if you're a guitarist, it's like an unwritten rule or something :P i LOVVVEEE busted, but i'm disappointed that they're not actually playing their instruments live in this...and no one try to say otherwise because i'm a touring musician and i KNOW that they're not, you can tell! apart from that, this was awesome hahaha :)
