@@merchantsvt2875 because they wanted to make the 18” ones official 18”. Back when they were 30bolts when they came out with the 18” version they literally kept the same 17” size face place. Which in reality is a 15” plate. And stepped the lips out bigger to get to 18”. So I like the look of the bigger ones now. You can see the brakes in the front more 👍🏼. And it fills it out a bit more while keeping a decent size lip! A happy medium!
