I know this is a old video but what's the hardest part or most time consuming part of the sas swap? Wanting to lift my single cab (currently have the 2.5inch RC lift). The RC 6inch lift just looks like a lot of work for for hardly any gain. I would rather just go ahead and do a straight axle swap and get it over with so I can go as high as I want later on. I was a diesel/heavy equipment fleet mechanic for 8 years and currently a industrial maintenance tech so I have the tools and knowledge just limited on free time.

Do you know what the difference between the wagoneer front axle you used and a xj front. XJs are alot esear to find around me.

monzahunter the Wagoneer is a Dana 44 vs the XJ being a Dana 30. The Dana 44 is a good bit stronger. I used a XJ Dana 30 on my 2 door(I have a couple videos of it on here) and I broke the ring gear and an axle shaft. I haven’t broke the 44 yet

You can find front and rear 10 bolt axles cheaper than D44 axles everywhere. They are a little stronger than the D44s and everything at the end of the tubes is totally interchangeable.
