How does the convertible top work? Is it any different from stock or is there just a cover for it

It's just a cover. The tonneu cover is a 2 piece. It comes off and folds, although you probably don't want to risk damaging the paint. But once the cover comes off, you have normal access to the seats and the convertible top has a clear path to be put up.
