2003 Honda Element EX 2.4L Code P0497 Fix

How to fix Code P0497 Evaporative emission system low purge flow.
So my 2003 Honda Element was not clearing all the lamps for the smog and the tricky part was that I had no symptoms of power loss and even when I cleared the code once before replacing the purge valve, the check engine light didn’t come back until 40 miles after driving. After replacing the purge valve the Element cleared all the lamps within the first 15 miles of driving it.
If you have this code most likely is the valve and inexpensive to fix($45) before you start looking for a mechanical problem.

Thanks for the video. SO you had no symptoms just the engine light on with a code of P0497? Do you know exactly what Honda calls this part or have the Honda part number? Seems like this may be the issue with my 08 Element. However, my code was P145C, so I'm not really sure what my issue is. Thanks.

I don't have this code but my Honda element has trouble starting after I get gas. Will this solve my issue? I was told it could be the problem. Thanks
