A thorough overview of the R230, your review is very helpful in understanding this complex automobile. I still have my 1995 R129 that I am very fond of, also very complicated from it's 8 to 10 actuators that operate the convertable top to the earliest variable valve timing ignition system. Just bought one of these. You’re right about the brakes, they are a bit immediate. But it’s a great car, nothing disappointing about it and, I think, one of the best looking Mercs ever

did you know that it is as an adaptive transmission? it pulls 5.8 0 to 60I do suggest to get a radar detector mine is a uniden r3 even

I can solve your break problem brake pads akebobo,, the Mercedes breaks are inferior and produce a lot of brake dust,, the before mentioned does not produce brake dust.yes I had to learn to do the brakes but one month and driving this no problems. The biggest expense I found is the AC! couple little leaks with the ABC fluid I think it's coming from it the right strut. Tap it off like five times a year. Knock on wood but mine only has 80,000 on it

I too had a r129 and the a r230 blows it doors off..not in quality in performance. It is better looking to me too

I would not recommend those Mercedes brakes I would recommend akobono brake pads number one they reduced the Dust by 90% if not more. Unless you driven a modern car in The Last 5 Years you will not notice a difference remember the Mercedes brakes are 2013 these idiot engineers constantly are advancing the model. Gentleman is right about the ABC system
