As a kid, I loved the original Tom Green show so much that I would entertain my summer camp counselors by acting like him and doing crazy shit in public everywhere we went. This show came on the air when I was a sophomore in HS, and I was SO excited man. I miss those summer sleepovers playing N64 on a 9 inch TV/VCR combo while Stern and the late night shows played on my buddy's dad's giant TV in the basement. Not sure where this comment is going, but what an awesome time to grow up. I'd give anything to go back to those days for a week.

I honestly found MTV Tom Green was not as good as when he was in Canada. The show lost a lot of its feel and became a lot more sterile. The opening for instance went from something funny to something very bland. It was like the first Wayne's World when they went from their parents basement to a studio and the show just felt cold. Even the interviews are completely drole compared to Tom fucking with his guests. The move made sense professionally at the time, however I preferred the style of the original Tom Green show a lot more. I mean, taking your entire audience home via city bus is the stuff that would never have been able to happen on that show. Oh, and sawing a dead raccoon in half and dousing your guests like Ed the sock with Milk. It's still a solid show, I just was surprised how toned back it had to be on MTV to fly...... MTV over time showed to be pretty shitty however. Tom got in right before it went to total shit.
