kinda funny looking back on this race and hearing them talk about using smaller fuel cells to try and break the big packs up, to reduce the huge wrecks. now they are banning two car tandems so the cars will run in packs in an effort to reduce some of the late race carnage. i wish i could go up to nascar and say it doesnt matter wtf the rules are shits gonna happen regardless lol.

Manufactures breakdown are as follows: 14 Chevrolets, 14 Dodges, 10 Fords, and 5 Pontiacs. 2 Dodges and 2 Chevrolets failed to qualify for the event. Shane Hmiel, and Brazilian Christian Fittipaldi were in Dodges driving for Petty Enterprises. And Tony Raines and Kerry Earnhardt the older brother to Dale Jr were in Chevrolets. 14 Dodges and 14 Chevrolets would outnumber the 10 Fords and 5 Pontiacs. So it was 28 vs 15.

@@jackpierce1724 the thing that surprised me about the big wreck here was that Mark Martin avoided it. In almost all the big wrecks that take place at Daytona and Talladega Mark Martin is a name you’ll always hear that is involved. Mark has a history of bad luck at Daytona and Talladega.

Jeff and Jimmie we're right there with Dale Jr, Michael Waltrip and Harvick majority of the race. So had the yellow came out those guys would be fighting for the win instead of Biffle and Bobby.

Weird race. Greg Biffle won the race but it was really kind of strange that the usual suspects weren't up there at the end. The smaller fuel cells kind of brought the competition closer but left it up to the pit crews but it really didn't break up the packs.

@naturewisdom6775 жыл бұрын
How so? Next race they finished 1 2 with Waltrip winning. Then in 2004 they won the Daytona 500. Should have won Talladega spring event if not for that bogus call in favor of Gordon when DEI was clearly the best all day. Now the 2004 PEPSI 400 was the actual FIRST RACE since the 2001 Talladega 500 that DEI was straight up beat fair and square. But then in the 2004 EA Sports 500 Dale Jr and Waltrip were again the cars the beat with Jr winning. 2005 speedweeks was the actual END of the DEI dominance as Teresa Earnhardts meddling with swapping the crew chiefs completely destroyed team chemistry and allowed a already closing Hendrick and Gibbs to completely surpass them as both DEI cars combined could only muster best results of 3rd by Jr at Daytonas two events and a 3rd by Michael Waltrip at the Aarons 499. Waltrip blew up even tho he led 42 laps in the Daytona 500 and Jr was a non factor in both Talladega races wrecking in both as did Waltrip wreck in the fall Talladega race. They parted ways after that as it was a sad end to what should have been many more plate wins from the company Earnhardt Sr. built. But from what I hear Earnhardt Sr. faked his death...so whats the world really about? God Bless you. Dont forget to repent and follow Jesus Christ. The world is coming to an end and we are living in revelation 🙏
