My brain struggles with the visual and acoustic traits of the Buell - when two worlds collided to produce a great motorcycle.

To me that's why I love those bikes so much. Super cutting edge technology with a hot rodded antique engine. Just insanity 😂.

This was the first harley i ever wanted! I dont think theres ever been a motorcycle as unique as the xb bikes. I was so so pissed when harley axed the buells. I thought it was so cool that america had a bike that competed with the japanese sportbikes. I wanted one so bad but never had the funds. Ill never forget when the salesman told me. Then he handed me a brochure for the xr1200 and tried to convince me that it was comparable lol. Talk about not understanding the assignment at all. Its so cool to see the buells coming back and to see harley FINALLY building sport oriented bikes that can compete in that field objectively. I see why Kaplan is a buell dealer now. That was a hell of a love letter to the buell xb. Really cool.

I love my xb12 it’s got 75k on the clock and still running hard. Doing service and maintenance it has been an easy bike to live with.

The XB12S with the Twin-eye headlights will always be a legendary bike in my book, and this is coming from a metric sport bike rider! They put themselves in a class of their own with that aggressive twin headlight design in combination with the classic HD torque rumbling powerplant that makes the needle on the Richter scale dance! The Double-eyed XB9S and the XB12S might be the pinnacle of Buell for me and my taste buds, at least for the "First-Era of Buell" haha but of course the second coming of Buell is fast upon us Gentleman!

Great video. Loved the comparison between the two bikes. The big performance differences between the 2 tell me that Buell takes their research and development department very seriously, and they aren't afraid to spend money to improve the bikes, since there is a huge difference between the horsepower of the two engines.

I had an XB9SX great bike, very sharp quick handling with that short rake, best sound. Although not super fast it definitely was a hooligan bike for sure and like you I wanted something to slow me down a bit i was riding the piss out of it. My RnineT is faster and slower turning but it doesn't taunt me nearly as much to be a hooligan. The Buell isnt for everyone though but it should not be judged till at least a few rides. But i loved mine... The new ones look better seeing it in your video. Keep up the good work!

That Buell looks like a mini bike with you on it. I’ve never noticed how small they are. They maybe small but quick.

Kaplan cycles got the best lineup of 2024 buells especially with that awesome exhaust I can't wait until boosted gets his hands on one and puts a turbo in it❤😮 The 2004 Buell looks small next to the Street fighter. What a difference

I’ve owned lots of liter bikes and 600 sport bikes. My Buell Firebolt is more fun on the street because you don’t have to be in the high rpm range to have fun. Torque is more fun than HP on the street in my opinion

I've so wanted a lightning for awhile now, I'm 51 I've had 2 chopper ironhead Sportster and a hot rod 1980 "80" shovel low rider but I eventually have sold em all. But even tho I want one of these I'll prob never buy one I am too terrified to even ride a motorcycle now there are way too many idiots on the road now, I get pulled out and cut off at least twice a week now with a couple of super close calls like coming to a stop sideways in the road from avoiding hitting someone who pulled right out in my 95 mustang gt if it didn't handle half way decent it would be crumpled, I don't get it what's going on?? It was never like this. Also I know several people that were hurt bad and killed on their Harley's from just what I described. For those reasons I'll never own another bike again and I love bikes I bought my first sporty at 16 and done all the work to em myself, one chopper was ground up I bought the hard tail frame out of a metal scrap pile the engine at a used car dealer, just like in mad Max ahhh p p p piece here ahhh p p piece there. Gotta have nerves of steel to ride a bike around civilization now.
