For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition. This numbered Z06 wasn't just a serial numbered car with a special paint scheme. The 24 Hours of Le Mans Commemorative Edition package came with a carbon fiber hood and a retuned suspension for better handling. This Corvette has been upgraded to a more free flowing exhaust system by Billy Boat Performance Exhaust and certainly adds an aggressive sound. Powering this Corvette is an LS6 providing 405 horsepower that propels American super car to 60 mph in four seconds and the quarter mile in the low twelve second range! Many will assume that a car this capable will have trouble passing up gas stations. Well that's not the case, this Corvette is capable of attaining 26 MPG on the highway! How many super cars can say that? The Le Mans Commemorative edition is painted in LeMans Blue and features a red and white stripe separated by a strip of carbon fiber that travels the length of the car. This stripe kit is particular to the Z06 and not the standard Commemorative Corvette. The polished aluminum wheels are wearing new Bridgestone high performance tires and are just waiting for a new owner to show them the way.
