Great little car. Bought one for cheap a while ago and it has been the most reliable car I've owned so far. Barely uses any fuel, reasonably fast (the manual version at least) and quite spacious for a tiny car. That being said, the base model here in Europe didn't even have electronic windows, power steering or a temperature gauge - just a green light when the engine is still cold.

I would buy a daihatsu for the quality and the price but they left our market in the early 90's.

In the states, we used to see some of the smaller cars like the Geo Metro and now it's down to the Mitsubishi Mirage three cylinder. Those 3 and 4 cylinder Suzuki engines from the 80's and 90's blow head gaskets but are fixable and you can still find them cruising the mean streets.

A daihatsu Trevis was one that definitely looked cute. Did y'all get the Trevis? Mira/Gino I believe. A mini clone

Dirty IAC valve or a possible tiny vacuum leak. Oh 2004 probably had electric throttles... Dirty throttle butterfly maybe.

It's actually mechanical, believe it or not! I own a 2007 model (same generation) which was sold here as the Cuore.
