I took off the 6 wheel well torx bolts and disconnected the fog lights connection. I reused the bumper bolts. If i ever want to i can put the original bumper right back on with no problems!

I believe i measured from the rail that the radiators sat on. I would suggest to find a point on your truck that is level that way you can get the bumper level with it. The block were mainly just to hold it but it also helped me to figure out how high or low the bumper needed to be. I only left 3/16" flex space for the bumper originally but after the bumper settled it has 1/4" which looks alittle funky.

I need you to make one for my 2006, just minus the winch and add two tow hooks.

Finally, someone I can relate to. I'm building a custom front bumper similar to yours on my 96 S10 ZR2. I made mine to slip right into the frame. 3' square tube 1/8" steel. I wanted something called a bumper NOT a crash bar like all the other people. I cannot believe all the time and effort (and money) that people are putting into pre-fab type so called bumpers (Movebumpers). All they are is a nice looking crash bars. One thing I am doing extra is, I will be putting on 2 or 3" rubber dock type bumper pads on two front sections. Hence the name - BUMPER It makes no sense to have a bumper only to replace it because you hit a squirrel. Get real truck people. Good job man

how did you make sure the bumper was squared up? is that why you raised it in blocks? im currently building one for my tundra and trying to leave enough travel space for the frame flex.
