2004 Ford Explorer Cabin Blower Fixed

Was getting terrible air flow through Cabin vents. Very weak even though blower was full power. Knew something had to be blocking air. Found a door dislodged and blocking air. Removed door and now much much better air flow!
Maybe not 'correct' fix but was what I needed.
Total repair time: 30 minutes

Hey buddy thanks for the video as I was having the same issue of weak airflow in my 03' explorer. I did the same as your video and it made an air flow difference in my vents instantly!! I didn't have to take blower off, was able to access easily just taking glove box off. Question....... Is leaving this piece out going to effect anything else filter wise?? Have you had issues since and maybe just get in there and clean it once a year?? Just looking for your thoughts about leaving it out and any impact it has had on your end???

I've watched other vid's and the only down side is, without the door it constantly let s outside air in. Hot in summer and cold in winter

Does this vehicle have a cabin air filter the 2011 I'm up models have it right in that location with clips that just slide out

Looks like you did an awful lot of extra work. I don’t think you need to remove the blower motor. If you had noise change when you switch to speeds, Then you knew the blower motor was working. Why Remove it. Pop the glove box undo those screws on the filter pull the filter put the screws back in. That said it’s good video.

You wouldn't know it was in they're unless you removed the blower motor would ya
