2004 H2 Hummer Rear Driver-side Window Regulator Replacement

2004 H2 Hummer Rear Driver-side window regulator replacement. This window regulator is an aftermarket brand purchased through amazon. I will not provide the link in the description for as I did not provide the part for this repair. The brand is Brock and they did come in a set of two for both rear passenger and driver-side windows.

Appreciate the video and I just changed mine. - took two hours - but please don't have your back to the camera as we amateurs can't see what's going on! My local dealer quoted USD400 for the part alone - I got a new one on eBay, albeit made in China, for USD50, plus USD25 for delivery to Qatar. Dealer would have had the car for three or four days and charged about USD 3-4k in total.

Why not just buy better quality the first time instead of buy disposable parts. Cry once and not many times.

This has nothing to do with the quality or not being OEM. The issue is with the engineering. The specific piece is made of plastic and does not last long. Therefor in extreme temperatures and or weather conditions will cause premature failure. Like they say, " experience pays".

@@wickedchicksmobileautodies8819 OEM regulators lasted 15 years and didn't fail till recently. Why would a brand new one fail in a year or to. Quality of the parts increase longevity. Cheap parts use cheap plastic, quality parts use stronger plastics or composite material. Where do you live that your dealing with extreme temperature and weather.

@@Transformers1983jd These are known common failures on these particular regulators.Even the OEM regulators have failed. Not too worry though. On the next one I will most likely show the failure on an updated video when the next one fails again. Which year Hummer do you own?

@@wickedchicksmobileautodies8819 2005 and only just have had to replace one. 16 years with the original ones.

@@Transformers1983jd What specifically failed on your regulator? I own this Hummer now, so I never have to worry about the cost of repairs nor Labor. Then again this vehicle has lived in extreme hot weather conditions for its entire life.
