2004 KTM 125 SX Top and Bottom End! Ep15

New project is a messy 2004 KTM 125 SX. Very neglected bike needed a lot of work. In this video I replace the crankshaft and overhaul the top end. Up coming videos will include spin-offs of the front forks, brake caliper and seat recover.

i ride the same bike and did my rebuild with all the exact same parts. if you freeze your bearings prior to heating your cases the fall right in place

Add a touch of heat to the case bearing hole with a heat gun along with the frozen bearing.

Get yourself a lil press. Makes those main bearings a piece of cake with no hammering. Enjoying the videos

can you adjust the powervalve mechanism after the cylinder is alreafy mounted??

Yes but obviously more difficult if the engine is in the frame.

I wonder if you had to take the cylinder back off because it looks like you didn't have the power valve lined up when you put the cylinder on. I've done that before. If you pause the video at 27:15 you could see that on the engine the power valve rod is all the way to the right and on the cylinder it is in the middle. Hopefully it slid in but I think it may have went off. Either way if you still have the bike I would check that.
