The Land Rover G4 Challenge was kicked off in 2003 with an event which spanned across the United States, South Africa, and Australia, all in just 28 days. A total of 16 nations took part in the race to claim the first ever G4 Challenge title.
Unfortunately, due to the global economic downturn in 2008, Land Rover decided to cancel the event scheduled for 2009 simultaneously ending the challenge series altogether.
