2004 RAM 2500 Cruise control fix, Clockspring

Replacing the clockspring in my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The cruise control was turning off randomly and sometimes I could turn it back on and sometimes not. The windshield wipers were acting weird as well. Changed the clockspring and all is good now. Disconnect battery cables
before doing any work on a vehicle that involves electrical components, especially Air Bags!!!

Great video ! Ive got a 1999 dodge ram 2500 diesel. Im thinking it’s probably close to the same procedure. My cruise control just clicks its self off sometimes & will only work when I’m driving south on the freeway. Has something to do with steering wheel position I’m betting.

Mine would just cut off while driving. Sometimes I could turn it right back on and sometimes it wouldn't.

Is this what causes it to cut out going uphill or basically anything over 60

It would cut off at any speed Billy it did seem to happen more when it was accelerating. I did see it happen a lot when climbing hills.
