I would move tools to the starboard side storage. If ever needed the access is safer not being on the traffic side along the highway especially with a door that size sticking out. 😊

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet… but if you’re temperature guage starts climbing you probably need to clean the radiator. I’m a CATERPILLAR diesel truck technician (for the past 20 years)and all the diesel pushers with rear mounted radiators have the same problem. The road debris kicked up starts to face plug the radiator the side closest to the engine fan (especially the lower corners). You can spray degreaser into the cooling fins from the rear of the RV, then also pressure wash from the same side to help blow the debris out of the fins towards the engine. Should help keep your engine temperature down. Also check the water pump belt tension and condition. Kind of a pain to manually adjust, and flip it inside out to get it over the harmonic balancer if you need to change it.

Thank you
@edguillaud90922 жыл бұрын
You said the engine gets warmer when in the climbing. I recommend that you clean your radiator. Hose or pressure wash the radiator get the dirt out from between the fins. Two reasons one probably never been done second the dust you just sucke up into it from this trip. It might help big time with the temp getting hot.

I have the FD model, 400 cummins 4 slide. If you ever have any questions, hit me up. BTW, the air in the front is for a towing. It allows a tow truck to air up the bags for transport.

Love that you've moved up to a bit more of GLAMPING . Winnie's have lots of roof problems so beware. Winnie's us SILICON ROOF SEALENTS, do not use Dicore self leveling sealents, they DO NOT STICK TO SILICONE. Also check where the roof connects to the wall, it goes into a J channel. This needs to be checked yearly to be sure its is stuck. check out James's channel on the tubes A-Z rv repair, he has lots of info on replacing these roof and how to prevent having to do so. Wow what a Jewel! Only 53000 miles. Just a baby getting started. Cook outside as much as you can if for no other reason than that's what camping is about and it keeps your rig smelling nice. Don't cook air born grease items like meats and oils in the rig. It will coat everything. I love your documentary style you and Steph do at the places you go. Your call on weather you want to become an RV camping expert or not. My Wife and I are RVers for 48 years and we like just drinking, cooking and visiting outdoors. Yes the magic of RV's and camping. Good luck with that new Rig. It's a dandy.

The 'curb side' or 'street side' is 'RV Speak' for Port and Starboard. Curbside is the side the 'house door' opens up on. The street side is the side that usually has all the hookup connections for electric, potable, grey & black water. Also: If you haven't already... Invest in a shore power pole surge spike protector. Campgrounds are notoriously bad with regulated power and voltage at the shore power poles. The PPF has failed on the front of the body of the RV. A heat gun will be your friend with a plastic spatula/scraper to get the PPF off.

As a full time long haul trucker, For cleaning bugs off your grill / windshield, I highly recommend mixing MrClean 50/50 with water. give the bugs a good spray, wait a couple short minutes, then they just wipe off. also great to clean and polish any chrome lol But, looks like a great purchase ! Howdy Bobby and Steph, I know all to well about tires, going back to the mid 80’s, I drove a car back to Amarillo from Anaheim Ca, it had a recalled set of tires, Firestone 721’s, they were about 15 years old, I thank God the muffler fell off first, we were about 30 miles from Needles in the summer, don’t need to tell you just how hot it was, I pulled over to go back and kick the muffler off the road, unbeknownst to me, while it had set for that 10 minutes, all 4 tires swelled up and the car was rolling like it was on a rollercoaster with all 4 tires on a different track, to this day I have know idea why they didn’t blowout, crazy , safe travels God Bless

Looks like a great floor plan. The clear coat is an issue on many RV's that had this applied. As you probably know, there are some companies that remove it. The tank fills also allow you to fill up from both sides at the same time. Something I wish I had for my 150G tank. Maveriks out west here have truck/RV islands that provide this feature. Having sailed (not very well) before getting an RV, I still call the RV parking places a slip!

Congratulations. Yours looks almost exactly like my 2005 Journey 39k. We just bought that last March and put 10k miles on it already. We LOVE it. Just got back from Freightliner in Gaffney, SC from it's service. The previous owners took ours there every year. Came out with a clean bill of health and we did the 60K service plus I asked for the tranny to be serviced. Anyway, we love ours a lot and are planning a cross country trip next summer. Safe travels!!

Big private tour bus. Must be very comfortable. The biggest issue is the style or lack thereof of the interior. The gold details are tacky at best, the mismatch between the 2 sofas is atrocious. Otherwise it looks in very good condition and should be an excellent base to put your own touch. Looking forward how this thing is going to evolve and where it is going to bring you!
