In the far-flung town of Catanauan in Southern Quezon, the celebration of flores de mayo is a unique and colorful tradition. The Kalilayan Folkloric Group, comprised of native Catanauanin, pays faithful tribute to the original dances of the tradition-rich Catanauan. The image of the Immaculate Conception will be brought to Manila for the first time in more than 100 years as part of the performance. Together with the town carroza, the Kalilayan production promises to be an authentic and magnificent visual feast.
