Can I reuse the old coolant that I took put if it's a couple months old?
@kinderutz
@kinderutz 4 жыл бұрын
Why would you use full strength antifreeze and not mix it 50/50 with water ? Antifreeze does just that...not freeze but it's the water that has cooling properties and without it it won't cool properly during summer time. Always ix 50/50 water and coolant(assuming coolant is not premixed already).

What do you mean by throttle going into limp mode???
@rickytomatoes

Good video overall, but the points you need to know are: 1. He has done it 5 mins ago and pipes / clips come off easily. It want be that easy if your pipes are in place for 10 years 2. The accessories belt will move and in order to put it around the idler you have to undo the top 2 screws of the tensioner , so you can pivot it out of the way.

The job was done as the video goes.... once not several times...
@LynxStarAuto
@LynxStarAuto 5 жыл бұрын
Loooool. What on earth are you saying? The tensioner is slackened with a 17mm wrench. The belt is slipped off the alternator pulley. All of the hoses and pipes will remove fairly easily. The hardest is the lower radiator hose which requires wiggling it whilst pulling back on it simultaneously. This is clearly showed in the video as he fought it off. From there, everything else is straight forward. This is a one hour job tops.

I'm having an issue with car turning on and the fans turn on with it, I put heat to like 80 and max and it blows out cold and also the coolant level was -40° when I checked it with OBD11 I assumed it was the Coolant Temp Sensor so I replaced that and got a CEL for it I cleared it and still came back, the fans are still running every time I start up car and they don't turn off I'm not sure what it could be at this point the I'm going to replace the thermostat, begging of next week when it comes in hopefully see if that may solve my issue but if anyone knows what is causing this issue please let me know would really appreciate it.

The ends hoses connects to are plastic? When these become brittle and break these motors and the whole car become junk. I bet Audi has designed these plastic parts to deteriorate and replacements to cease production or cost an arm, leg, eye and sometimes the kidneys to obtain in 15 to 20 years time when they need replacing.
@EDGEMOTORS

We’ll figure all manufacturers have life expectancy of their cars around 5 years, and they work on getting the cost down as much as they can but so it last the life expectancy....
@crxdelsolsir
@crxdelsolsir 5 жыл бұрын
EDGEMOTORS I think the key word there is life expectancy. It is no longer how long it can naturally last but rather how long manufacturers want it to last, which is being reduced to increase turn over and profit. Also key is the prevention of extending life expectancy by no longer making use of low cost universal and interchangeable parts. Manuf. are not just cost saving driven. They would rather spend more to have unique parts if it would increase profits. All are now prpprietary and no aftermarket options eg. hoses were round and interchange and available via aftermarket suppliers. They spent money on square hoses and unique clips to prevent repairs.
