An excellent way to update the exterior styling of your 2005-2009 S197 Mustang is with a pair of Axial Smoked LED Side Marker Lights. These Side Marker Lights feature a razor sharp LED strip that replaces the unsightly hot spot of the factory lights. These Axial Side Marker Lights not only look fantastic, but they are also much brighter than the weak stock incandescent lights for increased visibility day or night.
Axial manufactures their Rear Side Marker Lights with injected molded ABS plastic housings for durability, and use smoked polycarbonate lenses for exotic good looks. These Side Marker employee high output, red, SMD LED strip lighting for super bright illumination. Look up “simply built” on google. They sell LED turn signal lights for 05-09 Mustangs.

Okay, I found there is NO need to peel back the bumper. The housing will pop out using a trim tool. Easy Peasy...

I popped mine out with just a flat head it took me less than 15 seconds just make sure you put a towel so you won't scratch your paint

Man install is 2 mins. Use a flat head screwdriver and a cloth over and carefully pop the light. Easy as hell.

Are they actually legal? Without the red reflectors, I would think they aren’t street legal. I believe US DoT requires reflectors and marker lights.

That's what I'm wondering too. I just installed some so I guess I'll keep you updated. I hope red retro-reflectors aren't required because they really only help if you forget to turn your lights on or are parked in a dark area.

According to the stamp on the side marker lights they are DOT approved. Same technology used for my 3rd brake light.
