This is back when NASCAR was great. Lots of good teams, charismatic drivers, sponsors willing to pay for a good performance, and above all a decent rules package that actually allows good clean hard racing. I miss these days.

Jeff Gordon sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" shortly before the race. Couple that and his suspension failure here and his season started a miserable downward spiral out of the Chase.

I was at this race. It was great seeing my driver Kasey Kahne get his 1st cup win.

Kasey Kahne was very underrated and if it wasn't for health issues at the end of his career and a few other stupid factors he would have a lot more wins.
