Thanks for the video! I have a P0190 with P0302. Autozone is recommending I replace the fuel tank pressure sensor before going the spark plug route. Anything to note for the sensor replacement itself? The part comes with the new hoses. Do I need those or can I just attach the sensor to existing without exacerbating anything?

Ford Escape 2004, same problem. Everything looks good, checked the signal voltage by jumping the wires and using a voltmeter, P0452 showed up last March, I cleared it after checking everything and now it's back again in December. Could the temperature be affecting the sensor performance? Or could there be a leak in the vacuum line, perhaps exacerbated by the cold? It is a 12 year old car. Tank vent solenoid is also working and vent is all good and clear. Hmmm.

I have a p0451 code on my 04 f150. On one of your videos you mentioned that when you first go to check them the voltage should stay about 2.6-2.7 on the FTP sensor. Mine is in the line above the tank. Most of them plug into the tank. Can you tell me if most of the FTP sensors for ford work the same with the same pressures verses voltage so that I could tee into the same line the factory on come in and adapt a tank type to the tee and be all good? The replacement comes with all the lines and runs about 350.00 and the tank type come by themselves. Thanks for any information you can provide. Thanks for the video.

@2:51 might have plugged up the reference side with dielectric? I suppose too much could do that but I've just never seen that be the culprit. Have you seen that happen before?

My 2008 MKZ will not start, after a P0463 code. This happened after a ABS recall. Don't think it had anything to do with the start problem. All fuses good, relays good, fuel shut off switch good, cant hear the pump working. No power to fuel pump connecter. What else should I look for? Does the fuel tank, pressure transducer sensor be the problem?

Yeah, titles reminds me of click bait, but he did show where it's located, which is always good to know, once I see it, I'll know how to replace it...it's called mechanics 101...btw, if all you have to do is apply a little dielectric grease to the plug and clean any corrosion off, then you may not have to replace it..

@@FordTechMakuloco ahhh, ok. Because I posted on fb inquiring what would cause a hesitation from 0 MPH. no misfires, no skipping, no check engine light. This 2005 Escape is just a total dog, completely bogged down from 0 MPH to 25 MPH. I suspect clogged Catalytic converter, binding torque converter or lock up clutch, or bad EGR valve. And this guy chimes in on my post suggesting that this fuel tank pressure sensor could cause this slugging behavior.

+Chuck Ross This code simply means the voltage on the signal line is above 4.5 volts at all times. This can be cause by an internal short or a short to vpwr but most of the time it is caused by and open in the circuit. You will have to ohm out and then load test each of the three wires between the pcm and fuel tank pressure sensor.

i have this same ford escape and it has a knocking sound in the gas tank when u turn the key to activate the fuel pump. ive changed the fuel pump and the knocking noise remained even when vehicle running.....does anyone know what this might be. and as well the check engine light came on as soon as the knocking sound originally started. could it be air coming back to the tank somehow causing it to sound like a knocking noise? any help would be greatly appreciated it also caused the vehicle to stall a couple times. thank you
