They were discontinued because the tree hugger environmentalists went after them, bad for the environment, they said...after a couple of law suits, I guess, Ford gave up...bad for business!!... then Ford took the same platform, F250, and put the Expedition on....the tree huggers didn't even noticed!!...that vehicle was a money maker for Ford...I have the limited V10...2002....beautiful thing!!...

Used ones are now selling for around 40k-50k, goddamn Ford can make so much money if they bring the excursion back!

You've got bad information brother. The so called "tree hugger environmentalists" didn't have anything to do with its discontinuation. It was because of the LACK OF SALES. The expedition was never on the F250 platform. I totally agree that they should bring this thing back, but maybe do some research before you go and comment stuff, especially when its as opinionated as this.
