Mosley and Ron Dennis always had a cold relationship, but after the Michelin fiasco and Ron being very vocal against him, the relationship went frigid. That’s why with Spygate in ‘07 McLaren got such a brutal fine and was excluded from the constructor’s championship. Teams would always spy on each other, so this punishment was unprecedented and rather a result of a personal feud between both men, rather than a serious sporting violation. Either way, thank you Zeddie! You’re the GOAT! ❤️

Without tire changes being available, it's a wonder the 3 stop strategy was ever useful.

It’s about the weight effect of the fuel in those days. A much lighter car that needed much more fuel than today meant the 2 stopping car was maybe 50kg heavier, 2 seconds plus slower per lap at stages in stints compared to 3 stoppers. I guess a lighter car is also easier on the tyres.

French GP was never really that exciting, 2005 was doublely so because of the awful FIA rules on tyres. Atleast the engines sounded good.

There were great races in 05 even with the tyres. Grid drops for engine changes are the biggest issue and also the magny cours is horrible for racing

Borefest. Magny cours has always been the worst track. Fast corners are so bad for overtaking, no real straights. 2/5 race, really boring.

@@magnussencube yes mexico is garbage. Miami is meh and shouldn't be on the calendar. Bring back turkey, Malaysia, nurburgring, hockenheim etc.
