My GF gave me tickets to the SCar game for my birthday, we lost, I got into a fight (scar was into cow bells at that time for some reason and one dude tried to follow me to my car with it). Move forward, she was managing a restaurant and I got a one day a week job there for extra cash as a delivery driver. This game was scheduled for 3:30 and I was supposed to be off at 3. Turns out they were busy on rivalry Saturday and asked me to stay longer. I said no. They said if you don't you're fired. I gathered my stuff and was fired. She said, " I hope your team loses." When she came home she asked about the game and I said 34-7 Gators, glad I didn't miss this one. She was super mad, but, I still put it in her after a couple beers. Wins all around.

I remembered this game... Man these types of game go so fast until the 4th quarter and you look up and see you team is trying to get a shutout against a rival and then it seems like that last quarter turns into a full year.

I absolutely LOVED this game and I honestly think this was the game that turned recruiting around in the State of Florida in favor of the Gators. For the first time in a very long time, UF was the best team in that state and that held true for the next 4-5 years, imho.

@auggator66 Um, the first whistle blew earlier thats why everybody else on the field stoped playing. Its obvious that the DL could've noticed that the play was over considering how the QB was just standing there and the linemen had already stopped blocking. Most non-biased people would agree that it was a cheap shot.

Well actually to be fair, we only beat them 6 years straight, but yes it was very fun. And I do hope we can beat them again and get another streak going. I'm not so sure about this season though. If we can get solid play from whoever starts at QB this season (me personally, I hope it's Jacoby Brissett) then we have a decent shot. But we'll see. Go Gators.

Back in the day this game had national championship implications for both teams and I think both teams are gonna get back to that level of success. Both Will Muschamp and Jimbo Fisher are bright young coaches.

@y2kentori im not fan of florida but they did have one but ncaa didn't count it because of 27 major violations maded in the 84 season which automatically fired head coach so technally they have 4 ncs 10 sec titles but ncaa doesn't reconized the 2 sec titles due to those violations also that put them on probation

FSU was not a very good in 2005. It's hard to believe that team won the ACC. They were one of the weakest conference champions in recent memory. I suppose that's more of a testament to how weak the ACC was that season.
