Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. Such a detailed walk through several makes and models of boat and a good, relaxed style of showing the boats. I don't enjoy watching boat review videos where I feel like a salesman is trying to sell me on the boat but would rather watch someone who's relaxed and low pressure in their approach. I live in Juneau, Alaska, and have been sailing here for 30 years now, so I'm well aware of what's desirable for a boat in the PNW. Keep up the good, high quality videos. I feel as if I've stepped onboard with a friend!

@@calibreyachtsales You're welcome. I also enjoy the thoroughness of your videos, taking time to show the systems and the things that are well thought out. Many people online just rush thru the boats and skip over things like access panels for wiring and the access to the engine area, etc. Best of luck with future sales and future videos.

Love these Grand Banks! But my budget makes me a single engine, tug/trawler type of vessel owner. I’ve got lots of time, but less money, so I need to go slow (6 - 7 knots) on a single Diesel, and I need to go far (3,000 nm range at six knots - with 10% reserve) and I need to do off shore passages! There are very few boats that accommodate this and sleep 4 comfortably, in three separate sleeping areas (two cabins and the salon) - old men don’t like to bunk up! I’ve got a lot to see and do yet, as I became a dad at a very young age, and now, at 64, it’s time for me to see some of the world. My intent is to leave the Great Lakes and make my way to Florida and the Bahamas for a season. The following season will find me exploring the Caribbean as I make my way ever southwards! then it’s the coast of several South American countries on my way to Brazil! Crazy? No way! It’s a five year plan and will entail the use of several crew swaps for the major passages, as the next few years pass! I’ve got a handful of buddies in a similar situation, so crew will be easy. I’ll be fighting them off! We’ll be blogging under my existing “Old Men and the Sea” handle thru my web-site of the same name. The Great Lakes are truly an inland ocean, but I’m dying to get salty and see some Palms! The adventure begins in spring of 2022, God willing, on a Nordic Tug 42’ named the “Alverda June” (my English mother’s name) Yea-haw! Some old Canuck hicks meet “the Caribbean Yacht scene - should generate some big laughs! Peace

No doubt about it, the Grand Banks is the Caddy of boats, especially in this size. However, the teak would drive me nuts with maintenance. Looks good, but a TON of work. Even thought a Mainship 430 isn't quite the quality, it made a more practical boat, same performance, close to the same features and benefits, and models with after cabin or bigger cockpit. And NO exterior work maintenance. Also about $100K less.
