Do not make it only your first vehicle. Yes, get another vehicle later. But never get rid of the XJ. Remember, true 4x4 utility vehicles are no longer made with the exception of the Wrangler and that may change anytime. What is called a 4x4 today is not a true 4x4 at all. Only the Wrangler, Ram 2500 and above, and Ford F-250 and above are true 4x4s. The rest is just independent suspension junk.

Do you think the double din stereo installation kit was a good decision? I have been toying with getting one so I can put a single din stereo in and single din President Lincoln II+ version 3 transceiver on the second slot.

Where I reside, powder coat might as well be spray paint. It is a common sight to see powder coated items rusted to bits. I envy your colour scheme. I had to purchase stainless steel bumpers and aluminum fender cover armor to avoid the rust. There is nothing wrong with the look of polished stainless steel and aluminum. But I so prefer the look of black powder coat accessories and modifications. I toy with moving so I can get away from the prolific oxidation here. For instance, I wanted the black hood luver made of steel that you have. I had to settle for the hood luver made of aluminum after seeing an XJ with a similar black steel lover devastated by rust. I hate where I live.

The rear tire rack interferes with the visibility of the brake lights to following traffic. This may cause some trouble with safety inspection, police, or if you got rear ended. Sweet LJ btw. Much nicer than mine.
