2005 Mini Cooper HID headlight issue

You need to use Canbus type ballast for HID setups.

My 2005 mini convertible start flashing on their on hours after I lock the doors and in the middle of night around 2 am. Going to be a fun fix I’m sure. Battery in key fob is dead , will start with new battery in the fob.

Interesting, I assume you figured it out by now? I have a 2007, which doesn't seem to actually have a way to turn them off, but the left is flickering. Not quite the strobe you have though.

headlights HID ballast both need replacing Bro but guess you have fixed problem by now i hope

How do you know it's the ballast?

Was not the ballasts, both were replaced and still happened

The BCM is either faulty or needs reprogramming using NCS expect... My BCM was faulty, headlights were permanently on and sometimes strobing something completely off and some of my interior lights didn't work. I tried changing the ballasts and bulbs but had same issue. I used NCS expect to reprogram it but had a communication error with only the BCM, so replaced it with an identical model but just had this strobing issue... After I reprogramed it, changing option to hid, self leveling, sunroof and so on it no longer has an issue.

NCS Expert. Change pulse width. I had this problem as well.

Same issue with my friends 2006, left head light flickering. Car is due for MOT soon and is wondering will they fail him as hecan’t figure out how too fix it

Well I'm in this boat atm. Let me know if you have fixed it and what you did to fix it please. I just ordered these xenon headlights and the turn on perfectly if the car is off, but once I start my car the flicker like your do. Any advice will help

I THINK that for me it was the BCM was replaced by a previous owner but they put in a used non-hid bcm.... I ended up putting in halogen headlamps. But replacing the ballasts would be a good start for you.
