Good job. It took me 5 days straight to install my system. And my wife system. Amp. New subs to new boxes. Zero gauge wire . Fused. Big 4 upgrade. Custom amp rack. And appart from all that I went crazy and ordered everything for the trucks. Installed all new headlights , tail lights, all led everywhere. Speedometer LEDs. Interior led all blue on mine. All pink and purple in my wife truck. Shampoo everything. Clean everything. and I still have tons to do. . Paint both trucks get new wheels and tires for my truck. Lower my truck. Re tint both trucks. Tons more. It's a struggle but I love it.. oh I for got to mention my truck is a 2000 Chevy Tahoe. And my wife has a 2001 gmc Yukon

Suggestions for the mids amp. You can mount the plate you have there with rivets and use a flat-headed bolt to secure the amp in the compartment and use riveted threaded inserts to make it removable however many time you need to service it. Simple enough improvement to avoid the fraying wires or components coming loose. Also to reduce unwanted potential noise when things get loud. 6:27

Unfortunately I ran Skar FSX for years. Didn't know what I was missing. Def Bonce Arnolds are great but on a budget similar to Skar the DFS USCMRs are way louder, sound way better and they play in their frequency range unlike Skar where you have to turn the high pass way up so they don't distort. You put a little bass to the FSX and they sound like they're gonna blow.

And then I began to hear that you are saved fellow brother in Christ & that's when this video got all the better! I instantly hit the like button & subscribed to your channel. Saw your comment that you were going to install some of the CT Sounds 3way component sets, I personally have one of the 3 way sets from CT also that I am going to put in my 3 row Durango. Also have 2 pairs of beefy Deaf Bonce 6.5" mids I'm adding in the Durango once I get time & a bit more motivation, as I will be doing similar to how you done in this vid on your tahoe. I'm pulling out all of the factory speakers, bypass factory amp & adding a new H/U & retaining my steering wheel controls, aswell as adding two 4 channel amps, monoblock to power my two 15" subs, big3, h/o alt & lithium. Once I get it all installed & playing then I'm going to go back through & begin patiently adding Sound Deadener. I can't wait to have it all done! *and again brother it was great to see a complete stranger online in 2024 with how liberal, PC & "Woke" so many seem to be & yet you comfortably shared your testimony in love just as Jesus Christ would have us to do, without fear from stone throwers, or anyone who may wish to discourage you. You did just as Matthew 10:28 instructs! Haha yeahhh and no haha. I just looove a professional install that's looks as stock as possible (if you can even see anything) 😉 I have a noctua fan cooling my amps now, and built a new box. It's a inverted t-line @37hz read 113db yesterday. Still fits behind 3rd row. LOL. Re-Tuned everything w/ time alignment. Put an insane amount of sound deadening through the doors/trunk a few weeks back sounds amazing, but still looking for more SQ -Getting a couple CT Sounds 3 way components for front stage. (pillar mounted mid and Tweeter) and 6.5's and midrange in the door. And still debating on a different sub, maybe a b2 riot in a 6th order... I'll have to ditch 3rd row but, I never use it 😂 😂

The 6.5" FSX are midrange speakers (kinda like the ones I have on my channel but different) I love the install, super clean. Your rear pillars have the Skar TX35 btw, cause the FSX only come in 6.5"-10"

Very good. Sound is great. 2 ohms subwoofer. The amps is bridged so probably 4 ohms 800 watts. Very nice. I like it. I listen to hard rock music too. Of the 1980s songs.

Looks like its a dual voice coil sub with dual 2 ohm coils. If he wired it in parallel its 1 ohm final load. 4 ohm DVC subs can be wired to 2 ohm tho

If you only listen to rock and metal you should have tuned your sub box higher like at like 40hz to really get that punch

Incorrect, with a rear firing t-line sub box (same sub) that I used after this, in an SUV application using room EQ analyzer and audio frog mic, the peak bass frequency proved to be 42hz! Crazy... As you can see from the other comments this setup is long gone. it's a full SQL system now controlled with a mini DSP 12ch. Although when I had this subwoofer in its t-line box, controlled with the mini dsp, you can alter the frequency curve to match your listening preferences in the usable range of frequency! Crazy how you can make a cheap sub sound extremely well in the right box and direct location/application/installation Fun stuff!!

Just go measure up whatever you want! and do the research, boxes are lots of work.. Box building is super specific and personal. I can give you no specific information unless you're building the same box, with the same sub, with port tuned to the same frequency, with the same Amp, and same wiring... Lol Take your max measurements with seat in of course. Mine was around 47x11x10 ½. It was quite a squeeze. What I'd reccomend taking the project to a box builder... your max measurements, sub, rms power, preferred frequency port tuning (shoot for 30-34 for ported) which depends on your sub.. Or Just do a bunch of research on boxes and go for it! , have EVERYTHING totally planned out before you do anything. It's a lot...

Those are max dimensions too (outside measurements) I believe I'm at 2.3 cubic feet as my NET volume. So that is inside dimensions of box, including port volume and VAS/displacement of subwoofer itself

Thanks a ton!! Second battery was easy peasy. Just bought 2 new interstates from Costco. And my truck already had the aftermarket trey for a battery. So i Slapped it on and used 1/0 Guage sky-high OFC wire for power and ground with a 150amp circuit breaker (better because you just cut off the second battery if needed. Rather than remove another terminal) 3/4" split loom over all the wires to protect from heat and corrosion. And heat shrink over the copper lugs to battery, done!

You better screw or velcro that amp down, you don't want it moving around in that compartment like that. Especially with the contact points being the wires itself.

This is years old, and now there's a computer cooling fan wired up to the ignition switch to cool the amps as well as Plumbing that goes down to where the sub amp is to cool that one as well. I haven't touched the setup since March 2021 at all, absolutely no crashes either! And the truck has been Airborne at least half a dozen times lol

I would have let you come test it with your sound equipment if I still had it! All my data proves exactly the opposite using mini DSP and audio frog equipment. With a peak dB of 135 @ 40hz... obviously the setup is different now

Can't go wrong with rededication to Jesus Christ!!! I don't drink so no worry bout DUI's but, I did listen to all kinds of rap that was loaded with drugs,sex,violence, belittling women and more cuss words than a sailor. I'm free of that garbage and listen to Christian rap(not Lecrae, he is not a Christian rapper) smooth jazz and high school hits. This is what proper car audio should look like. No wires, no clutter and thought/planned out. I'm upgrading my current system in hopefully 3wks. I have a few more pieces to but have all the major things. 4-6.5"Punch, 4-1" tweeters components, 3.5's for the rear and 3.5 in the a pillars. All Rockford Fosgate run on a 800rms 4ch Punch amp. I have 2-18" Skar EVL's in a 10cuft box wired 1ohm on a JP33 (4K rms). Ofc wire on everything. 2 runs of zero ga power wire. 2 batteries for the audio system and one for the vehicle. I lack a good ALT, done big three. Hoping to hit 150. We'll see. Good clean work! Ignore the moron who said (trash setup). He's just mad b/c he likes to hate on everything. He hates himself.

@@collinmcballin not as fast as I would like. I hit a deer just before Thanksgiving. I'm ok and it didn't damage my Yuk to bad. Its still drivable. Fortunately I am a autobody technician and painter for 30+yrs. I'm 51. I'm repairing my Yuk now. The holidays are here as well so probably won't get it finished completely but, I'm at least going to get the subs in. I'm finishing up my enclosure. I have about 3hrs left. Car audio has been one of my hobbies since about age 20. I've built several systems on the side. Built more sub enclosures than I can count. Custom door panels, consoles...ect. I'm going to shoot a full video of it when I'm done and put it on my KZbin channel, which is a firearm channel. Firearms are another passion of mine. Now first and foremost above all that I've said Jesus Christ is #1. Period. Without Him I'm nothing. I am an unashamed God fearing Christian and everyone around me know who I worship and serve. Paul told Timothy to- Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might........I've set that as my cross to live by. I fail everyday, but I also repent and grow everyday. We should be Prayed Up, Packed Up(meaning having our affairs in order on earth) and ready to Go UP!!! He is coming back to rapture his church, his bride- us! I like car audio. I like firearms. I like martial arts but I love Jesus and would leave all my possessions (which honestly isn't much) behind and never look back! I'm glad you had your Come to Jesus Moment and rededicated. Does this setup affect your truck battery? I'm trying to hook up my new sound system in my 2004 chevy tahoe. I have 6 ds18 tweeters, 4 ds18 front and rear speakers, with 2000 watt amp and 2 12 inch subs with a jensen double dash receiver. I need your help!

Yep, I have a second battery installed now. My truck came with TWO but I only replaced 1 when I bought the car (was on a budget) so I installed 2 new batteries recently... all SHCA 0g ofc and a circuit breaker. My system is totally different now too which changes a lot 😂 Also my Tahoe is the totally loaded one, every single option for 2005, so it has a LOT of power draw, but it still has the OEM 160amp Bosch alternator that tested 10/10 so I left it!! 2 batteries doing their job, doesn't go under 13v now. Used to drop to 10-11 with single battery 🙄🙄🙄 So what model Tahoe do you have? If it's a midrange one, it probably has a stock 135 alt. Is it LS trim maybe? (no heated seats, moonroof, Z66 auto-ride etc) you could probably upgrade to the oem 160 (so you don't have to spend 500 on a MechMan) like the one that comes on mine... bolts right on and cheap option.. Then make sure you have 0g OFC MAKE SURE IT'S OFC, big 3 upgrade, strong connections, and SOLID grounds, set your gains, and you're set!!

@@drvictoria07 just make sure your battery is good (not 600 years old and leaking, and check if your alternator happens to be the 160 option. If not, pick up a Bosch 160 from auto parts store and you should be good! Do your research and have fun!! And do it the right way the FIRST time 😜
