Thanks for the video! I also have a 2005 RAV 4 and plan on swapping out the plugs tomorrow. No idea how long it's been since this was done, but I have about 87K miles on it! It's worth noting that the new spark plug should have a gap of about 0.039-0.044 inches before installing; if the gap is outside that range, it needs to be adjusted for proper operation of your engine. The spark plug socket is 16mm or 5/8" and the recommended torque is 19 Newton/meters or 14 pounts/feet. Also, I don't know about putting anything on the threads, but some do recommend putting dielectric grease on the inside of the coil boot to provide a moisture barrier and make it easier to remove the boot in future. Thanks again for posting this, just what I needed to know regarding the removal/replacement process!

You can always use a piece of thick black rubber hose to install the spark-plug. The spark-plug will release from the hose when the threads catch. This way there is no possible way to strip the threads on the head (which is typically aluminum on second gen Rav4s).

You never put anti seize on spark plugs.

Wow. Low miles for a 2005. Looks like it has been taken care of.
