Even still we are in lockdown today we have a new review.
Today for the review we have one of the most sold and desirable SUVs in the world - the HONDA CR-V 3rd generation from 2008 in Executive Package - the most packed of all.
Kind of the best in the class SUV with plenty of space and practicability and I would say that this is that SUV that did not look like other SUVs and still it is in its own category of style!
Car, engine, and gearbox build like a tank to last if not years then to last decades if taken proper care, and it is not too big actions to be done ;)

Just got a executive 2008 model, I love it! Bit thirsty compared to what I’m used to but it’s extremely comfortable. I just hope it doesn’t go wrong

Hey Arpit, yup, CRV III is coming with 2 sunroofs. Even Civics from the same generation could have 2 sunroofs. I almost bought one, and it was a surprise for me also 😅

Good video thank you very much. I think you have to make comparasion with this suv, hyundai santa fe 2009-12 and toyota rav4 2009-2012 in same video. Drive on road, off road, wear out inside, out side, confort and all others.

CRVs are great, it’s value for money. Nothing fancy only useful..lfeatures and good design and good off road capabilities and anyone who thinks of getting SUVs in low price..it’s a good choice. They are very reliable sene myself with 240K or something and running very well for that high miles!

I have one excactly as this one only in black, with black leather interior, which looks much better, and not planning to replace it for few more years. The greatest in its class on every aspect. Also has xenon lights with auto leveling. 230 thousand km not burning a drop of oil doing all servicing on time. Also converted to lpg at 120 thousand km, no issues still running great and at great fuel economy. And yes its a 5 speed auto, not fast, takes time to pass, but a great cruiser and noiseless. For its dimensions of not even 4.6meters in length it must be the most spacious there is, its just huge inside, comfy and very good handling, it handles like a car not an suv and ofcourse a 4 wheel drive. Mind you, this is a 15 year old model and still you see so many around, that says it all!

Appreciated! 🙏 I had also as you said a black colour leather interior and I agree that it looks better that this sand color. I could say that every leather interior could look great if owners will spend some time in taking care of the leather interior. I am not sure if you are in Cyprus or not, but if you could see on bazaraki ( website where you could sell everything) cars with leather interiors that were not taken care of are a majority..even if they say this is all the sun issue. About the xenon light and auto leveling, wow. What year is the car? I do not recall for the 2007&2008 to have this option. About the fact that there are a lot of cars on the road..indeed this should this say a lot of things. And to be frank I do like more the look of the 3rd CRV generation than the next generation..as they look more how could I say it.. faceless. About the LPG!!! This is totally worth it! Where do you charge it with gas? If to convert it to LPG then it is totally worth it to own it for as long as possible until the engine or gearbox will require some repairs. Did you encountered any increase in taxes after converting it? What is the consumption? On my petrol 2.0 it was around 13-15l in the city... unfortunately an overkill that cut off all the pluses the car had previously. 4.6 m..indeed the best space saver from all SUV. And until now I could not see any SUV that will come so close to the way how the space was made. And about the 15 years, indeed, but what I do like more..for even an older model from 2007 you can make a face lift to the model of 2010-2011 only by changing the hood, front and back bumpers. @@VictoriosoReviews hi, the car is mostly parked in a in a garage, so no at all damage to the leather but always taken care with leather cream. Not at all any problem with the Lpg, here in Greece it's widely popular especially with high cc engines. Got to adjust valve clearance every 30000 km and that's all, nothing else just put Lpg and go. The tank goes where the spare tyre is and nothing is lost in regards to space. The tank is a bit heavy, that's the only drawback. Consumption is abt 9 highway and 12-14 city. Lpg is abt 11 highway and 14-15 city but at abt .80 cents per litre is abt 40% more economical than petrol. No additional taxes, actually log being cleaner than petrol we should have gotten tax credits!! Cost of conversion abt 800 euros which are netted out even on the first year.Not worth to spend any money to upgrade the looks to 2010-11 model.

800 EUR for LPG totally worth it. Here will be around 1500-2000 and it is not widely popular..more you add the road tax around 200 EUR per year and in the end conversation is not worth it.. How is the Greece now? Did they let you out already?

@@VictoriosoReviews road tax for this CRV is 690 Eur per year, goes according to cc and year of registration. No, we are not out if it, they are planning on easing the measures gradually from this weekend.

Holy moly...this is a robbery...for LPG they would definitely cut some road tax...this is for the 2.0? Or 2.4 petrol? Yeah same here..some easing..but God know if they would not put as back in a lockdown next month...

@@VictoriosoReviews also is not ""the most packed full option"" one... there is missing adaptive cruse control ACC , CMBS Collision Mitigation Braking System and AFS Adaptive Front Lighting System, wich in 2008 exist in some cars like this one:). Anyway.. cheers from Romania!!!

I just checked again the data, and indeed you are also right, this is not the max full available at that time, but in the same time is a full package for the Executive Trim that you can buy without adding something addititional ( ok, the owner paid for the navigation - but this is not working in Cyprus - why? I do not know). The Adaptive Cruise control, CMBS Collission, and AFS Adaptive Front Lightning was listed as an additional option that indeed this car do not have. To be sincere, here in Cyprus at least until now I didn't see a CRV from that year of production with this options installed, but I did see a car with multimedia screens in the headrests ( but installed by the owner itself). The automatic gearbox has 5 speed (it's a cuple-convertor/convertizor gearbox, not a cvt or dsg), and the manual have 6. And the noise comes from the big side mirrors. You're buying an suv for safety.

Thank you Olimpiu. Actually this is face palm for me...as I am not sure how distracted I was at that time to miss this info. I was sure that it is a 4 speed gearbox as I owned previously an exact same model and the car kind of do not drive fast and need a lot of time to decide if driving is a good idea ( how I was filling it at that time), so maybe this is why 4.... Thank you one more time for pointing it out. I need to be more careful with the info. Thank you also for taking your time to see the review. Appreciated. :) P.s: About the safety, I would doubt that this is the only why, as currently this is more like a fancy time to buy an SUV, to be in line with the others. Safety can be provided also by sedans/fastbacks etc.. sometime even better than from SUV.

Ha ha Joseph, indeed they are tiny. At least there is a plus from it if done well small engine + turbo = more power, less consumption, less CO2, more technological ( but I cannot guarantee that they will last past 200k.). This one is tiny, but is old and it will last long time, but with a high consumption of petrol/gas. Nevertheless soon we all it seems be driving the electrical cars and we will speak about the kw power battery 😂

Hi, imagine this is an executive spec but without additional options that was an option even for this spec. It does not have the adaptive cruise control that do other car have. Also some options can differ from market to market. Cy cars by example can be poorer than other countries specs cars. Cheers, 🍻
