big thanks to Rick for having the same problem we're having with our 08, big thanks to whoever it was holding the camera (didn't catch the name), and huge thanks to Steve for showing all the little details and problems that this repair will have on a 200K+ mile vehicle and where to be careful and still get a good fix done, I'm headed outside now to do this and swap the starter since it decided to go out because my wife had to fill up at pump #13 the other day, so the starter going out gives me the reason to get both repairs knocked out right away

Very good video. Very informative. I need the crossover pipe that goes from the thermostat housing (between the alternator and the valve cover) to the heater hose going to the heater core inlet. Can't seem to find a part number or even a photo of what I am looking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. Thank you..

If you go to the dealership with your vin # they should be able to look it up for you. They usually can also show you a diagram and location of the part. Hope this helps you out, don't forget to sub the channel for more great Explorer video and other craziness..lol Happy holidays Tony

That is the heater control valve and there is a THIN THIN line that goes to the heater core or something, well that is the part that snapped and I am trying to figure out how to replace it? Any ideas any videos on that brittle part?

So how come you didn't open the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator? It seems like draining the radiator would have been more work, but it would have also been less messy? Is there something with this particular make and model of Ford which makes you not want to play around with radiator drain?

You can loosen the petcock to lower the coolant level if you would like.

Can i use the heater hose part number KH445 to by pass the heater hose part number 626-522? I dont see a heater hose tee on the new hose part number KH445 that you used. Will it still work?

You can have your local dealer run the VIN # on your car to see if your vehicle calls for a different part.

where can i find the vacuum hose that plugs into the valve and evaporation box? (time stamp 1:30 ).

Dealer, possibly search online or go to the parts store and get a small piece of rubber hose to connect the two ends back together. Has to fit very snug though if you do this.
