2006 Cadillac DTS gets LED headlights: don't try this at home!

Bummer! Looks like even after all of that, the driver's side parking light is out. Guess we gotta do it all over again to replace the little bugger.

It was a bit of a job. It was on, the camera and lighting didn't show it well. The best way is to completely remove the front bumper cover. It was really not too difficult. But I'm glad the job is done! 👍👍

I have to do the same thing with my 06, getting nervous now. I’ve been looking for LED’s but couldn’t find them anywhere,

@user-fm1cg5nq7z it is a bit of a job...the first time you do it. Now after having done the headlights, I likely could do it much quicker and be a lot less frustrated, lol! I ordered my D1S LED headlights off of Amazon. There are a few to choose from and they aren't really that expensive. Since all I did was replace the original HID light bulbs with the new LED bulbs, as I showed in the video, it was a "plug and play" type of install. The new LED bulbs are much brighter, with a nice clean light output as compared to the originals. I hope you have no problems and have a successful headlight bulb upgrade too! 👍👍

@@lilredcrvtt thanks for the pep talk, I will be attempting the project knowing what I’m getting into. My DTS was purchased off the showroom floor by my uncle who sold to my dad, who until 2017 was driving it till he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at which time I purchased from my siblings from his estate, my dad was not big on preventative maintenance so I kinda bought a hand full of minor headaches, it seemed every time I fixed or repaired one thing another issue would pop up, I love the car and it was my dads so I will continue to do whatever is necessary to keep it nice, it hasn’t seen a winter or salt since 2017 and I only drive it for about 6 months out of the year, it is in almost mint condition, so with your boost of confidence and your video and others I will continue to keep her keepin on, thanks for the reply.

@lario1030 the upgrade to the LED lights is definitely worth the hassle of doing them. Mine have performed flawlessly since I installed them. It was a bit of work pulling apart the front of the car, but I'm glad I did it. 👍👍
