Hey, Bruce! I just found a 2006 magnetic penny - the error without the P or Mint Logo. Do you know if there are any up-to-date estimates on how many were actually made?
@NumisCanadawithBruce Жыл бұрын
Congrats on your find. There are no official population reports other than original mintage reports for the magnetic with p material mark which states included in the above mintage zinc population. But I expect the count is fairly high because the prices have dropped to just over $800 for MS67 here is the full updated price list. www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices-trends-history-value.php?coin=1-cent-2006&years=1-cent-2006-2006&id_coin=213

Good luck! One of my recent viewers just found a 2006 magnetic penny with no P material mark and no mint logo. In MS67 it's currenlty worth just over $800. What this means is they are out there to keep on hunting. Thanks for watching.

Have three one magnetic with mint logo, two no mark and not magnetic little beat up all of them. But I went over a pile of pennies with a strong magnet and they all stuck but once they were removed they were no longer able to stick with out the other ones

Good luck. You may be luckier than me. But the only way you may find a valuable penny is to go to Yard Sales and ask them if they have a penny jar they are willing to part with. Most Canadians do.

I have the magnetic rcm logo ones. But they don't seem to be valuable online. How do we know the grade?
@NumisCanadawithBruce2 жыл бұрын
RCM logo pennies are not valuable sorry to say because they made both copper plated steel pennies as well as copper plated zinc pennies with the logo and no material mark.

So the posted 2006 Canadian penny just value around hundred dollar, not as posted in youtube about 400,000 dollars. How about 2003 Canadian penny magnetic how much the value also a toned commemorative coins 1 penny how much.
@NumisCanadawithBruce2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. As far as I know no Canadian small penny is worth $400,000. As for 2003 penny there are two effigies of the queen. The old effigy has Queen Elizabeth wearing a Crown, The new effigy she is not wearing a crown. Here are the prices for the Old Effigy under MS63 it is worth 1 cent. At MS63 RED it is worth 50 cents. At MS 66RED it is worth $25. Lower grades are worth less money. The New Effigy under MS65 is worth 1 cent. At MS65 it is worth $2, MS66 $15 and MS67 $35. Now these coins have a P Material Mark. The P stands for Plated Steel. There were pennies without the P in the uncirculated coins sets that were often broken out and used in change, these NO P pennies are worth $8 in MS65, $20 in MS66 and $40 is MS67. As for the commemorative coins I am not sure if you meant pennies. There are only two commemorative pennies with Queen Elizabeth. 1967 which is the centennial of Canada and it has an image of a Rock Dove on the reverse. Under MS63 it is worth 1 cent. MS63 75 cents, all the way up to MS66 which is $60 with two price steps in between. There is also a double dated commemorative for Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee. 1952 to 2002. Below MS63 it is worth 1 cent. At MS63 it is worth 50 cents and goes up to MS66 $25 with two steps in between. I hope I answered all your questions.

What abouts the nickel 1984
@NumisCanadawithBruce8 ай бұрын
There is only one mint release of the 1984 nickel. There were no material changes that year. In fact it is unremarkable except there is a 1994 5 cent DDO worth a few hundred dollars depending on grade and how pronounced the doubling is. I hope this helps
@mameraph62293 жыл бұрын
i have one no mintmark and p but non magnetic...how much?
@NumisCanadawithBruce3 жыл бұрын
None of the varieties have a mint mark. Canada very rarely ever uses a mint mark. Instead they now use a logo to represent both the Ottawa mint and the Winnipeg Mint. You went on to say you have a non magnetic coin with the P material mark used for plated coins. As I stated in my video in Mint State 66 it would be worth about $700. If your coin is a lower grade it will have less value but it will still have value. There are now fake 2006 pennies out there so please be careful and take your coin to a reputable coin shop to have it evaluated don’t sell the coin at this time, just get a price for it, because you don’t want to get lowballed. If it is authentic and worth upwards of $100. I recommend you have it graded.

@@NumisCanadawithBruce Sorry,what I mean is no logo and p....but non magnetic....
@NumisCanadawithBruce3 жыл бұрын
@@mameraph6229 do you mean non magnetic and no P or Logo? It this is the case in higher mint state grades it could be worth up to $30 in MS66. If it is lower than mint state 60 it is worth one cent in the USA but you will need five pennies if the store will accept them in Canada.
