Dude thank you for this video. Helps me understand the circuit better, Im working on a 06 trailblazer. I have the same problem, key on but only have batt. light and NOTHING else. I pulled ign. switch and with the key in and "on"(just to try and avoid triggering VATS) i jumpered some wires on the switch's plug and was able to get dash lights and even make it start up... This made me think switch was bad because I could do its job with jumpers on the plug.. Wrong. New switch, same issue. So now im going to chase wires. Man i hope i can figure this out.

Did you found out by any chance what was wrong with it ? Mine is doing the same thing blows the SEO Ignition 10a

@@saulcalvillo6923 it is the craziest thing. Replaced the ignitiin fuse. Then replaced the mass airflow censor and 1 o2 censor. Cleared all the codes and it went away. Found that all the problems stem from bad fuel. No problems since.

@@maxxresults3974 thank you might have to take a look and try it out. My mass air flow sensor is not install And neither are my 02 censors how ever I got it tune and deleted. Still going to take a look and connect them thank you 🙏

First off, thanks for the video. I am following your steps. I have a no crank problem. I can start the truck with a jump wire (paper clip) from the start relay crossing diag across the pins 87>30 on starter relay. This tells me wiring is good from relay to starter. I get a test light to turn on at crank fuse 10a in the under hood fuse block, so that tells me my ignition switch and wires are good to that fuse. Basically I am not getting the start relay (tested good btw) to energize. This tells me there is a problem in the fuse block. Does that sound good to you or anybody who would like to help with a comment? If I can not find the bad connection in the fuse block, I will try to wire a push button switch and bypass the fuse block some how. Thanks again for your video. Edit...as I check things out, pretty sure it is Park Neutral safety switch, at this time they are $120, thinking I will rig up a push button switch for $10 bucks and some wire.

U have a wire under the fuse block that is getting hot and melting the pin connector under the fuse block. Replace the pin connector and check the wire for corrosion

@@TheCalimed420 No, it is the Park Neutral Safety Switch. I can start the truck in N, I will wire a push button, if and when I can not start it in N anymore.

My 03 1500hd with the 6.0 will run but when I turn the key off and take it out the truck stays running then if I drive it the tranny goes into limp mode until I disconnect the position terminal for a few min

all the wires should have the voltage of the battery so if your battery reads 12volts then those wires all of the wires expect the ground wire should read what the battery voltage is.. So if the battery read 12.50, 11.50, 10.50 or 12.00 volts then those wires should read the same..

My 2006 LBZ is having some issues where the right side clusters don't work, radio doesn't turn on, 4x4 light won't turn on etc etc. I have already sent my cluster to be rebuilt as well.

Same thing in my 04 1500 Silverado. I'm thinking ecm. I see this same problem other people same symptoms. Hope shares the fix. Truck runs and starts fine.

I waisted the day and $25 to the salvage yard for a used radio. Started out I noticed my battery was running low in the morning when I especially after a few days it would drain the battery completely so what happened was the radio clock was at 12:00 and did the same thing on the swapped out radio. Damn it. I should have kept the old radio I was so stupid. I'm convinced now the problem is in the ignition switch in the column a little black box it's only about 30 bucks. Can't believe the hell I went through to unlock the swaped radio searching the internet watching a KZbin that explained how to remove a tiny chip inside the radio and that was successful but then my chime was even much much louder so I went into the door hinge area opened up the the rubber boot around the wires and cut the tan wire to disconnect the speaker in my left door so I didn't have a chime. All that for nothing just because GM is so freaking stupid to make all these electrical problems

@@kadent7320 I can only assume that it was the ignition switch box I purchased off eBay$ 25. But I also in this whole mess i had jump started the vehicle a few times and it eventually destroyed a very good expensive battery with 750 CCA with the four year warranty from Walmart that they would not honor... Because they're jerks. So there is no way for me to know after a month with this new battery it's working just fine and the new used clock radio is working but none of the preset stations stay preset it's just all static when I turn it on and the CD player had four discs jammed into it the whole situation just pisses me off because General motors are the biggest a-holes on the planet

@@kadent7320 . I love Chevy engines and transmission but I've had so many electrical problems with my vans and suburbans Yukon. And all the brake lines are rusted all the crap. Ground wire issues door locks going up and down on rainy days. Rear parking lights and brake lights. And of course the typical power windows switches going bad and mostly it's just the contacts in them. The worst was my 2002 long version van that I had spent $4,000 on it and getting all set up for business and then it developed a electrical issue when I put it in reverse it caused the engine light to come on and it's sputtered. I was able to drive it but it wasn't operating right so I would have to pull over and unplug the battery this went on and I had two mechanics look at it several people give me wrong information about the problem and it got so bad toward the end the engine light started blinking and it would literally blow out tons of white smoke out the tailpipe and it ran like crap. I finally had to just sell it at a big loss.

@@kadent7320 . Today the new battery drained completely. So I don't think it was the ignition switch. It was about 17 hours overnight. So now I have to unplug the battery every night unless I'm going to be there in the morning to start it up immediately.

KZbin cant kill me 4.3. Im having the same problem i have crank but wont start no spark. Anyways the video shows how a faulty or bad ground wire is the cause of all the problems. It worked for a lot of people. Im still diagnosing my issues cant find the cause yet.

I'm having a similar problem.. Ignition switch is good.. I seem to have power from my starter to my ignition.. But it doesn't complete the circuit.. There's no power from my ignition to my starter.. New fuses,relays,starter and starter switch.. Sometimes my ignition works and sometimes it doesn't..
