My parents have had a couple CR-Vs since 2009 I think and can safely say they're probably the best all-rounder I've experienced. Heaps of room from being a teenager to an adult in the back and the front. It fits both my parents really well (dad is 6' 5" and my mum is 5' 2") but both find it super comfortable to sit in. It runs, drives, and stops and in the past 12 years with their most recent one they've never had a major issue with it. Only recently did the abs start to go funny, but as long as you give it a regular service these things just seem to run. Glad to see they're just as popular in Japan as they are elsewhere in the world!

Beautiful example! Here in Vancouver area of BC we don’t see much rust I didn’t know how true that was until I went to Quebec last week. Holy moly those cars get ruined 2010s cars with rusted wheel wells it was eye opening honestly how true that is

I was looking for a 2004ish CRV several months ago and was unhappy with all the options available domestically due to high prices, high kilometres, or poor cosmetic condition. I started looking in Japan for one but ended up with a 2008 X-Trail. It ended up being better for what I wanted a small SUV for with the benefit of having a diesel option. Early diesel models only had a manual transmission but that was ok to me since the Nissan CVTs in the gasoline models are made of glass. Looking at this CRV though, it's obvious they were way more modern for the time though, I do wish the X-Trail had more creature comforts.

1:26 A Canadian version likely has nowhere to bolt the rear trailing arms to by now!

Why? Parts would be widely available and no rust

...and maybe they're using it for mail delivery? This import is the opposite of pointless.
