EXCELLENT choice of music to test out the install! It's in my "git it git it" playlist on Spotify for such occasions ;) I've been using, while trying to decide whether or not to keep my mother's RX330 (both parents passed away recently), a bluetooth cassette adapter. Works fine but sound quality is meh. I already have built-in bluetooth for phone calls so I wonder if that will clash with a GTA bluetooth connection?

The GTA kit sends a pig-tail connector, typically used if the RX has navigation. If its that same plug in you may be able to use both
