I like how Morden just made another alliance with the Mars people regardless of what happened to him in 2 and 3. He's being manipulated to get rootmars and now that the invaders came, they went to pull the same trick of cloning the PF agents xD.

Probably trying to keep the plane in range so he can ride it again for the boss fight.

To reduce the range of attacks from the boss. If you put the slug on standby at that location, the chances of being attacked by the boss is greatly reduced.

How many sprites were used for the first boss in this game? PS. This is not running on a Neo Geo. Possibly Naomi or Naomi 2 hardware.
