This stuff is hard. I played trumpet in band at school but I never did marching band (because they took marching band away) but I played at the football games and that was hard, too. Yeah, we were good friends actually. I think we even were roommates in a hotel on our trip to Cedar Point or Disney. He and I used to play Halo LAN parties when we were still in Junior High. If he shows up at our high school reunion, I'll challenge him to see if he still remembers the high five we came up with in High School (very painful). The fact that these are kids ages like, 14-18 is so crazy. It’s so well coordinated, the music is played well, it’s blowing my mind haha. The sense of timing alone is so good!!! Marching band is so intense and you really can't tell from those bird's-eye view things (which are cool but I mean) This was choreographed right down to the movements of the bloody instruments, and each and every person involved had individualized choreography they're remembering sets of choreography completely unique to each person along with remembering their music, and every one of them is near perfectly in sync Just imagine the lung capacity and athleticism required for it! Especially with the heavier instruments - it takes a lot to move a drumset or a tuba, and these people are doing that while walking and running and playing and dang that's some amazing stuff right there, and videos with close-ups like this one really show it hot damn marching band is intense I just can't get over it holy cow

Man to all the students in this video that thought this be just another performs, I'm sure none of them thought this video would have over 100k views let alone 200k (it might be more in the future that's just what it's at when I'm commenting) they all performed so well and as a former band student you can just feel all the hard work they put into this perfomece, band isn't easy and matching band adds a whole new level of difficulty, having to stay in tune and time with everyone well playing, actually having the song memorized to play, keeping your tempo correct well marching and keeping outta the way so no ones bumping into each other, its really hard and they do it so seamlessly here, it must of taken months to get it to this point and at the end of the day it turned out spectacular

Wow. Mark's marching band is REALLY good, like 1st place DCI material. The music and movements are really smooth, and they did very well with dynamics. Way better than any high school band I've ever seen!

Mark was pretty good back then. (Mark was that trumpet in the beginning)
@lanawillenbrock86534 жыл бұрын
I am now very happy with my choice of instrument (Trumpet). You have no idea how exciting it was to learn that Mark was a trumpet player in Marching Band
@evanhubbard1468 жыл бұрын
Daaaaaaaamn! I see you Markiplier! Shoutout to all the trumpets!

ok at around 2:30 his show has the same selection of music as one point in our show this year (2020) and that really blew my mind when I heard it

So markiplier mentioned, being the 1st chair trumpet, he had a solo at the beginning of the set, is that him playing solo trumpet in the beginning?

BOA has the scorings online if you search “boa 2006 scores” and find the grand national championship in Indianapolis, I’m not too versed in boa scorings, but if you’re interested they’re online!
