06-07 LS4 Monte Carlo SS only made for 2 years. Less than 14,000 were ever made. I own a 2006 with 39k on it. Get it back to right and keep it. Collector car for sure

@@Somanybeats the last one ever made off the assembly line was kept by GM and put in the GM heritage museum. Due to its low production numbers and the fact its no longer made, it is def a collector car. I have a collector plate on mine

@@Somanybeats one of the ways to get a collector plate is the car cannot be your daily driver. You have to prove you have another vehicle as your daily driver but the car is def unique in its own right and you should feel good about it!

I have a 2007 LS with 86k miles. I wish it was an SS but still really fun to drive. It’s super clean..I love it so much. I get compliments too bc you don’t see many in great condition nowadays.

I had an 06 SS and my transmission went out twice …. I hated to get rid of that car 😩 …same color all black too…only mod i did was replaced the headrests with the impala headrest with the SS logo

@@Somanybeats Ha its really not that hard because the seat just comes up with one pull , but one time my friend car died on the highway and it was no way to give him a jump so i just pushed his car with mine until the nearest exit then gave him a jump. It was super cold that day too!

I have a 2008 Impala SS, so it’s pretty much the same but 4 door for all my kids. Surprisingly throaty exhaust, eats up the highway, and really comfortable for a tall dude. The transmissions are notorious for going bad because they’re too under strength for the engine. I’m shocked that interior is so good. Mine has half the miles and doesn’t look that good.

Love the 06 facelift. I have an 06 Monte LT w/V6 as my mechanic is in process of restoring, prior owner badly neglected it. Has 108k orig miles although this SS is a true looker! Can't wait to see it totally minted out! Great find!!!

Yes ls4 , 308 hp, 3400 pounds roughly, 18 in rims , it's trans is like 4l65 front wheel drive or 4l70. Get it on lift or get underneath it make sure the front and rear sub frame aren't cracked or have rot or broke bolts. There are a lot of mods for this ride. You found a unicorn because normally the sun roof will leak and trash these cars I would take some weed eater line down the drain tubes to make sure they are clean . It can be tire burning machine with a good tune as you know gm likes to cut tq. Down on anything with an automatic for safety to the trans components. Also thank you for the information on your tire size off the caprice. I went with 235 50 18 coppers CS style tires for mine. I get those installed on Tuesday. Enjoy your new ride ! Be safe team !

The transmission is actually the 4T65E HD...which is really weak for these engines....they'll go out with normal everyday driving but the car overall is great

As someone who previously hauled new GM cars, I do remember the Monte Carlo SS had 18 inch wheels. I believe 18's were standard on that year SS models.

Not like you can't see the tracks from driving the vehicle to that spot anyways. The weeds are also broken toward the front of the car from running them over WITH the car. You don't need to lie to make a cool video. Obviously was a town car. NO WAY that paint is THAT fuckin clean from sitting YEARS outside. My Impala after one fuckin night is dirty as fuck.

I wish I didn't have to daily my 2006 impala ss for the past 4 years, got it with 60k miles, im at 170k now and have had many repairs, recently had an accident too, hit a speed bump going too fast and bent the rims. got them unbent but still doesn't drive like I got it. engine starts to tick too, regular fully synthetic oil changes and new plugs so hopefully it dies by the time I get whatever I decide is next.
