Tons of fun on a great budget! Feels balanced, light, nimble and agile. I think people forget that a car is supposed to be fun to drive and reliable. Everyone just wants to brag about 700+hp nowadays.

I had a 1969 Mach 1. When I saw the retro body style of this body style, I knew I'd get one. I was finally able to get a 2006, 5-speed, and I love it.

@@NDMikefromVelva Me, too. It needs a new paint job, so I'm going to have it painted just like my '69.

I bought one of these new in 2006 and I still drive it every day. I had to get the GT because Consumer Reports said it was more reliable. They weren't wrong - 17 years later I've had to replace the alternator once, the left side cam shaft position sensor once, and that's it. Well, that and the oil, oil filter, wiper blades, tires, air filter, etc. And the gas in the tank more frequently than I'd like, but it's not awful. Like the guy says it'll do about 25 mpg on the highway. Just don't try driving it in the snow unless you've got snow tires and you know what you're doing.

I've wanted this generation mustang for so long because it looks and sounds so good, but I currently have a 2013 mustang gt, and it's great and all, and I love the coyote, so if I ended up getting a 3v I'd be giving up 150hp

I'm just about ready to take the plunge and trade in my new-ish, luxurious and loved full size sedan for one of these. I've been scouring youtube for decent takes on this car and your video is a breath of fresh air. Thank you for an adult take that highlights the things we want to see and not your hairdo or over the top personality like so many others making videos do. You nailed it.

Hey Nick, thanks for the feedback. Its nice to get a comment that isn't complaining that we are not talking about hairdos. Good luck with the hunt, the S197 Mustang GT is a ton of fun for the money! Stay tuned, we have more Mustang content coming up.

I love my 06 GT, been babying it for awhile now mainly because I came from a 2.7L V6 Charger that blew up on me twice in the 20,000 miles I had it, don't want to blow this car up and I'm also not used to this much power and it's my first stick shift, but now that I'm getting shifting down and it hasn't given me an issue since I got it last October, I've been driving it a little harder, just going occasional pulls really, only issues I've had is the common valley coolant leak and the suspension is in rough shape but I bought the car with those issues and have been fixing them and now I just need a new sway bar and coilovers (old sway bar is good it just needs new bushings but I may as well get rid of some of the body roll this car has) all in all I would highly recommend it, you'll only crash it if you're an idiot with the gas or don't know how to correct a slide

We personally owned this S197 for 9 years, and can only think of great memories that we had in it. Highly recommended it for many drivers. And it might be one of the most robust performance cars for that kind of money on the market. Road course, drag race, drift. It can do it. Thanks for watching abs enjoy the car!

Awesome review, I love my 09 Cali Special. Nowadays kids only care for big HP they cannot even put on the ground.

Absolutely! 1000 hp only counts on the internet. 300hp is a blast on the street. Thanks for watching and enjoy that GT/CS! -Bryan

Enjoy the vid! I also have a 2006 Mustang GT with 71K miles, AND it is RED like yours - haha! I had it in the garage all this time, but now that my teen is in college...well, it's fun to drive!

Keep it on the road, and kill some tires. These pony’s are great for that! We certainly miss this car now that it’s sold. Thanks for watching. -Bryan

I'll hopefully be getting one as my second car, first car was just a beater peugeot 206 that I bought cheap from my sister. I'm going to check out a black GT with a manual gearbox from 2007 this Friday and if it's in decent condition it will be my first real car. I'm thinking about putting a watts link on it so it doesn't turn into a crowd killer but I'm not sure if those even make any real difference.

How much would the insurance be for a v8?
@TexasTruckChannel3 жыл бұрын
There are a ton of factors that go into this, but I can tell you that age and driving record will play into your rate more than the V8 part. When we sold this our full coverage rate was about $85 a month.
